This message reminds us that the safest place for a believer is close to God. Through the final line of the Lord’s Prayer—“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”—we learn that spiritual drift makes us vulnerable to temptation, isolation, and the attacks of the enemy. Jesus teaches us to depend on the Father daily for protection, strength, and guidance, because we were never meant to fight life’s battles alone. As we stay connected to God and rooted in godly community, we discover that true strength is not found in independence, but in proximity to Jesus.
